Bug Beats Silent Disco

Hosted in a vintage VW campervan, Bug Beats Silent Disco offers 3 channels for you to boogie along to your chosen beats via headphones.  The big screen displays lyrics for the live DJ channel for you to sing along - but remember your neighbours can hear you!  Charge applies.

 

Kids' Play Tent  

Pop into the play tent for some FREE family fun.  The tent is full of toys and games for the kids to play and have fun!

George Scarrott and Son's Family Fun Fairs will be joining us at the festival bringing you some well known popular attractions to the festival this year as part of our Festival Funfair. George Scarrott & Sons have been your local and original funfair since 1890!  Charges apply.

 

 

     

 

 

Strange Old Things - The Mobie Museum

Explore the dress-up area with history costumes and a photographic backdrop for some memorable pictures.  There are artefacts available for handling from various time periods - including Fossils, WW2 display, Stone age tools and more.  Try out a selection of historic musical instruments!

Come along and explore!  Get hands on with demos and sessions taking place at the following times:

Friday:

14:30: The Romans (or what's left of them...) Handling Roman coins, pottery and artefacts, Roman weapons demonstration and a talk about the Romans in Britain and Europe.

15:30: Stone Age Tools (a chance to handle our Neolithic flint tool collection, a talk about how they worked and demonstration to find out how useful stone tools were)

Saturday:

11:30: Fossils (for kids). A light hearted look at our fossil collection, and a chance for any questions

15:00: Stone Age pottery Making: Craft session learning to make stone age pots from air dry clay (free to attend, we ask parents to contribute £1 if they would like to keep the pots)

17:00: Fossils (for adults) An in depth look at our fossils, talking evolution and giant killer herrings.

Sunday:

11:30: Medieval weapons Display: a chance to hold and use some of our replica weapons including axes, swords and bows and try on our replica armour. 

13:00: World War Weapons: Machine guns, shells, bullets and armour. A light hearted look at war in the twentieth century.
