“Nina Kohout is a Slovak artist currently based in the UK, where she’s just finished her studies at The BRIT School. She is a sonic storyteller who combines the eerie atmosphere of ancient Slovak folklore, classical music elements, and the freshness of an innovative trip-hop.
Having played around Europe, her uniquely coloured chamber pop has always met with great interest and was mentioned in BBC Radio and music magazines such as Under the Radar, Louder than War, and Electronic Sound magazine. Her 2022 tour included playing at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton, the iconic Kino Šiška in Ljubljana, the United Islands of Prague, the Ahoi! Pop Festival in Linz, as well as the biggest Slovak festival Pohoda.
At the beginning of 2023, Nina will introduce her project at the Eurosonic, where together with a string quintet she will present her critically acclaimed debut EP Pandemonium (including the song Moonlight, featured as the Song of the Day by KEXP Radio). “
