Gilo’s

A.K.A the Car-B-Q

We are delighted to welcome local caterer Giles back to Lechlade Festival. Giles has always enjoyed cooking on an open flame and with a flare for flame came the idea for the Car-B-Q.

The Car-B-Q was originally bought 10 years ago and has been modified into a unique way of cooking burgers that certainly won’t disappoint. Come and grab a handmade burger made with meat from local butchers and enjoy the theatrics of their open fire pit.

The Cafeteria

Serving great coffee, fine tea and good food.

The Cafeteria van is a 1966 Citroen HY van, purchased in France. She had retired from work as a pizza van and was getting dusty and rusty in a french barn so was brought to the UK and brought back to life.

Operating in and around the Cotswolds, The Cafeteria can be found in Cirencester charter market on Mondays and Fridays, craft and farmers markets on Saturday and available to book at special events. The van and her friendly team return once again to the festival, bringing  ethically sourced and locally roasted coffee, the UK’s first fairtrade tea brand, lovingly handmade cakes from a local bakery, milk from a local dairy and fully compostable Vegware packaging made from plants.

We work very hard to provide a selection of catering options at reasonable prices. Vendors and traders form a vital part of the income which enables the festival to happen and we ask that you support these small businesses and the festival by enjoying the selection on offer.

Food and drink may only be brought into the arena for very small children and specific dietary requirements and will be checked at security points.  No glass may be brought into the arena (please note this includes perfume!).
