Silver2Dream return with their handmade silver jewellery for the 3rd year.  Owner Michelle says "I love this festival. I am a silver smith and design and produce my work. Due to the supply and demand for my work I have the help of a lovely family in the north of Thailand who help in producing my moulds.  While I also give back to the community and watching the children grow has been a amazing experience."

The Academy of Music and Sound

Founded in 1994, The Academy of Music & Sound started life in humble settings, offering private instrument lessons and music technology courses above a music shop in Torquay. Fast forward to today and the Academy of Music & Sound has the only national network of music centres offering specialist, instrument specific courses in the country. Today the Academy of Music & Sound has grown into a nationwide organization with seven centres situated in key locations around the UK offering first class music education for the 21st Century.

The Academy of Music & Sound will show you that learning to play your instrument doesn’t mean you have to leave your creativity, passion and joy for your music at the classroom door. In fact, we will positively encourage you to bring it with you. Add all the new styles, techniques and technology that we will offer you throughout your time with us and you won’t want to go home.

Our job at the Academy of Music & Sound is simple: To give you the information and tools you need to make your dreams a reality. Your job is to realize your potential, show a commitment and enthusiasm to learn; and practice, practice, practice. The future will then take care of itself and what’s more, it’s on your doorstep! Good luck, have fun and work hard!

AMS will once again take over the Workshop Tent every evening - more info soon!

Peru Peru

PeruPeru are Hugo and Sara Rodriguez and a few part-time employees. Hugo is the craftsman who makes the jewellery and Sara, his English wife, manages the business. Hugo is Peruvian and he makes jewellery using techniques learnt along the journey of life to develop his own unique style. He has spent most of his life in Peru and South America and belongs to a large family of travelling "artesanos", or craftsmen. All this changed when they started a family and they are now settled locally in Witney with their young daughter, Noa.

For many years Hugo has worked with a group of boys and young men in his "barrio" or district, of Lima, Peru. They would help him prepare the materials for his jewellery and in return he would feed them and give them a place to be which was off the streets. He now goes back for a couple of months each year and they continue to help out. He is now able to pay them and have also been able to employ two members of his family to make bracelets and knit Alpaca wool items, as well as another family of knitters in Pisac near Cusco in the Sacred Valley of the Peruvian Andes.  Selling Peruvian handmade hippy-style jewellery – lots of colourful bracelets and anklets plus crystal necklaces and pendants. Other Peruvian crafts: hand knitted Alpaca wool items such as clothing, fabrics and blankets, belts, purses, bags, embroidered baby cardigans and hats.  Everything is fair trade as the products come directly from the people who make them.
