Capturing the raw and honest heart of country-rock

The English Midlands may not be the first place that springs to mind when considering the home of country-rock music. However, The Lew Thomas Band have made it their mission to capture the raw and honest heart of this quintessentially American genre in their songs and electrifying live performances.

The Derby-based core of the band, consisting of Lew Thomas on vocals & piano, James Stone on bass and Tom Mason on drums, team with Jack Blackman from Warwickshire, after Thomas & Blackman met at one of the UK’s finest music institutes, Leeds College of Music.

The band’s debut album, ‘Walks, Talks & Fallouts’ has received huge praise, most notably from Dean Jackson of BBC Introducing. Having aired over half the album on the East Midlands Introducing show, the nostalgic piano ballad ‘Where We Belonged’ was then selected for Radio 6’s ‘Introducing Mixtape of the Week’.
