Shoot the Duke are an acoustic band from Portsmouth. This trio have created their own unique sound by combining confident vocals, bluesy guitar solos, moody 'dub-esque' guitar rhythms and sometimes a hint of train-track harmonica.
2016 has been a very rewarding year for Shoot The Duke, they have picked up management and played a plethora of festivals this year including Victorious Festival, Wickham Festival, Freshtival 2016, Haringey Food & Drink Festival 2016 and many other underground roots and folk festivals. They recently won a song writing competition called ‘All about the song’ which will see them flying out to Italy to record their track ‘Nicotine’ which has also been featured on BBC introducing.
After releasing their second EP the boys have been busier than ever, they sold out a 180cap venue at their launch which got them invited for a live show on BBC introducing and got them invited to headline Icebreaker festival. After a busy 2016, this year looks bigger and better.
