Members from Marlborough, Royal Wootton Bassett and Wroughton
Rock Choir is the UK's largest, most popular contemporary choir, with more than 20,000 members in over 300 local communities nationwide.
It was started in 2005 by musician and singer Caroline Redman Lusher, who wanted to reawaken people's joy of singing, and give them a fun, life-enhancing experience. There are no auditions and you don’t need to be able to read music.
Rock Choir members span all ages and come from all walks of life. They attend fun, weekly rehearsals and learn a repertoire of well-known hit songs, leading to performances – many of which help raise money for charity.
Performing at Lechlade are a mixture of members from Marlborough, Royal Wootton Bassett and Wroughton. Over the past year they’ve wowed the crowds at local Christmas lights switch on events, entertained and supported charity runners at Race for Life, surprised and delighted shoppers in Swindon with two amazing flash mobs, sung live on stage with ‘the people’s tenor’ Russell Watson and performed to more than 60,000 rugby fans at Wembley stadium!
